How I work

Senior, direct and documented.

Enough process to protect the work. No consulting theatre.

01

Remote first

Secure access, async review and focused calls. On-site worldwide when useful.

02

Evidence first

Findings link to a capture, code path, plan, interview or reproducible observation.

03

Written down

You get a durable record of the answer, the trade-offs and the next move.

04

Independent

No success fees, commission or hidden implementation pitch.

Who does the work

One person. That is the offer, not a limitation.

Dino Sloth is Robert Troughton. The person who scopes the engagement runs the captures, writes the report and sits in the readout.

You are not buying a brand and receiving a junior. There is no bench to keep busy, no utilisation target quietly shaping the scope, and no incentive to find five days of work where two would do. When the honest answer is that you do not need this, saying so costs nothing.

The trade is capacity. One principal cannot run four engagements at once, which is why start dates are stated plainly and why smaller, no-access steps exist before a full review. The pricing page sets out that progression.

Where an engagement genuinely needs a named specialist — a discipline outside my demonstrated experience, or simply more hands — that person is identified to you by name and role before access is granted, is covered by the same confidentiality terms and the same deletion schedule, and appears in the scope rather than in the invoice. Nothing is subcontracted to people you have not met.

Confidentiality

Your material stays yours.

  • NDA before specifics, on your paper or mine
  • Work inside your VPN or VDI when required
  • No client material in public AI tools
  • No client logos, case studies or attributable anecdotes
  • Working material deleted after delivery on the agreed schedule
  • The report belongs to you on payment

Location and travel

Based in Thailand. Working worldwide.

Most engagements are remote, with working windows for Asia, Europe and North America.

On-site work is available worldwide when physical presence will materially improve the result. Travel time, flights and accommodation are scoped and approved before booking.

Working windows

UTC+7 is coverage, not distance.

Bangkok overlaps a normal working day in Tokyo, Seoul, London, Warsaw and Stockholm without anybody getting up early. North America takes an evening here or a morning there, agreed at scoping rather than assumed.

Working-window overlap between Thailand and other regions A 24-hour UTC timeline. My working day, 09:00 to 18:00 in Bangkok, is 02:00 to 11:00 UTC. It gives seven live hours with Tokyo and Seoul, three with Warsaw and Stockholm and two with London, all inside normal hours at both ends. Montreal, New York and Los Angeles have no natural overlap and are covered by scheduled evening or early-morning calls instead. 00:00 02:00 04:00 06:00 08:00 10:00 12:00 14:00 16:00 18:00 20:00 22:00 00:00 UTC Bangkok / Singapore UTC+7 · my desk Tokyo / Seoul UTC+9 · Tokyo, Seoul 7 h live London UTC+0 · London 2 h live Warsaw / Stockholm UTC+1 · Warsaw, Stockholm 3 h live Montreal / New York UTC−5 · US East Los Angeles UTC−8 · US West My working day Local working day Live overlap, nobody working unsociable hours

Asia

Same working day. Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Shanghai and the Thai domestic market run entirely inside normal hours at both ends.

Europe

A four-hour live overlap every afternoon here, morning there. Enough for a daily call and a full readout without either side working late.

North America

No natural overlap, so it is scheduled rather than hoped for: evening calls here, or early-morning ones, fixed at scoping. Async analysis in between means the work does not wait for the call.

Every row plots a 09:00–18:00 local working day, converted to UTC, at standard time. Readouts and interviews are booked to suit your team, not mine. If an engagement needs sustained hours in your window, that is agreed before the statement of work rather than discovered in week two.

Conflicts

I do not work both sides.

  • Dino Sloth does not perform diligence on a studio it has advised.
  • Dino Sloth does not take advisory work from a company after assessing it for a buyer.
  • Relevant relationships are disclosed before scoping.
  • No contingent fees, brokerage or paid introductions.
Whose contract do we use?
Yours is usually fastest. Dino Sloth can also provide an NDA and statement of work.
How quickly can work start?
A proposal normally follows the intro call within two working days. Start dates depend on scope, access and current availability.
Will we know who is working on the engagement?
Yes. Everyone working on the engagement is identified and covered by the agreed confidentiality and access arrangements before client material is shared.
Can we speak to a previous client?
Client names, logos and case studies are never published. References are available under NDA at proposal stage — a call with a prior client, or with a lawyer or corporate finance adviser who has worked alongside me, wherever that client has agreed to it in writing. A live call is worth more than a published quote, and it is the one offered.
How quickly do you reply?
Within one working day for new enquiries; same day during an active engagement.
Worried about granting access? That is usually the real decision, not the fee. Access and confidentiality sets out exactly what access is needed, what can be done with none at all, and when material is deleted — and there is a one-page security summary your infosec team can have without asking.
