Start small. Know the next step.

Every engagement has a defined purpose, fee and boundary. Start with the smallest useful decision; move into deeper work only when the evidence says it is warranted.

Studio work

A progression, not a leap.

Early steps use a brief, a call and evidence you choose to provide. Source code, project content and a working client environment are reserved for a full-access engagement.

First engagement

Technical orientation

£500

One focused conversation

  • A short brief read in advance
  • A focused call on the immediate question
  • A short written note on the sensible next move

No build, source or project-content access.

£1,200

Preparation, working session and written recommendation

  • Up to two hours of desk review
  • 90-minute working session
  • Written action note and brief follow-up

For a bounded engineering choice, not a build review.

Review planning

£6,000

Three consulting days

  • Interviews, existing evidence and delivery context
  • A review plan with the questions worth answering
  • Clear access, build and readiness requirements

No repository, build or project-content access.

Plan a review

Before full access

Start with an environment that is ready to review.

The five days are for answering technical questions, not for discovering how the environment works. The required setup is agreed before the engagement starts.

  • A named technical contact who can confirm access and answer setup questions
  • A reproducible build in the agreed configuration
  • Working access to the agreed environment, tools and target hardware
  • A short list of the questions, scenarios and materials that matter most

If the agreed environment is not ready, the start date moves with it. Any work needed to prepare or repair that environment is scoped separately before it begins.

Access is agreed before it is granted. The access checklist sets out the practical route, the minimum permissions and the deletion process.

What should I buy first?
Start with the £500 technical orientation when the next useful step is unclear. It is deliberately small: enough to understand the question and recommend a route, without asking for access to a build or repository.
When do you need access to our build, code or content?
Only for a full-access review, which is a minimum five-day engagement. Earlier steps are designed to work from the brief and evidence you choose to supply.
What if the environment is not ready?
The start date is agreed after the readiness check. If agreed access, a reproducible build or the required tools are not ready, the review begins when they are. Preparation work outside the agreed review is scoped separately before it starts.
Can I speak to a previous client?
References are available under NDA at proposal stage, where the client has agreed to an introduction in writing.
